To best describe my view and opinion about my art, this quote by Marie Chapian says it all.“Originality is not doing something no one else has ever done, but doing what has been done countless times with new life and new breath!”
No matter what the medium, style or the subject is that I am considering, I always ask myself what is the best approach to use that will ultimately reflect a newness and creativity and beauty, that will make each painting an "original thing" for me. Being mostly a representational artist, I find myself aspiring to the style of the Old Masters, in that I always desire to have a concept in each painting that will stimulate the imagination. I am continually striving to expand the range and scope of my collections in order to broaden the expression of the way I treat my art in respect to the procedure and skill I adopt with each painting.
In short I want my paintings to speak to you each time you look at them. I want my viewers and buyers to know that they are receiving a one-of-a-kind painting that is an investment for the future, and will increase in value with time.
